had competition on friday monday.. i'm glad it's over now.. it's like being able to leave a heavy stone from my heart..
it was really unexpected.. really.. i swear all i expect was just a top 3 placing.. weelll.. i guessed that made it even sweeter for me.. :)

winning.. how it's feels like to win.. i had long forgotten that particular feeling.. and i'm glad to be able to experience it all over again.. :)
i had won only twice in my 5 years of competing.. and it was a smashing start and a great end to my 5 years of national schools.. 2 golds, 2 records.. what else more can i ask for.. that year in sec 2 was the highlight of my sec sch life.. and this year, the highlight of my junior college life...

i'm really glad i joined track, specifically pole vault.. there really couldn't have been a better choice for me.. i'm very fortunate to have met such a good coach and trained through all these 6 years with seng kiak.. come to think of it, i must really thank mr sung for refusing to allow me to quit track in sec1. i'm sure jin yang feels the same too. :)

tracking back to the comp.. i did everything pretty the same as i had been doing since the last 4 years.. woke up early and took bus 172 and then 307.. i walked into the stadium pretty low in confidence.. even after the warm-ups..
trial jump 1(4m): it was bad..the pole was too soft.. changed from 150pnds to 160pnds and i cleared trial jump 2(4m).. it was then the confidence started to come.. beginning to feel some hope for my comp..
cleared all heights on first attempt. until 4.31m.. 2nd attempt.. it was rather lucky.. in fact extremely.. i could feel the contact between the bar and me.. well, somehow it didn't fall.. :) hmm.. but seng kiak was much less lucky as i had been.. really shld have done much better and clinched the gold medal...

must say i had been rather suai.. injured my ankle exactly 1 week before the comp.. last friday. couldn't walk the next day la.. then didn't train for the next few days.. could only stay at home and stone.. everything seems rather bleak then.. heng it didn't affect my performance..

i'm truly glad i won it for the sch.. this year's comp is different.. i used to compete in high school.. a place where u win the championship every year without fail.. it's more like for personal glory.. but this year, our A div's chances of winning is very high.. i win it for the school.. although it couldn't be 2 gold medals for the 1st 2 finals, well, we did pretty well till now.. i'm proud to clinch the 1st gold medal for our sch this year.. :)

I really hope we can win this year.. esp for pple like soon hock who haven't won the championship b4.. :) it was a blow to us when the decision was made to field only J2s for A div.. nevertheless, there is still a big chance we can do it.. I did my part, it's up to the rest of u.. Good luck guys..

Ok.. after national schools.. it's asean schools.. my last hurdle before i will start to mug for A levels.. ahhh.. thailand.. :) i hope i wouldn't be the only one going from our school.. pls dun let me be the only one! haha.. did very badly for last year's asean schools.. hope i can redeem myself this year.. that means training these few weeks..
ahhh... a few more weeks of trng left, and i can like stop going training until after my As... haha.. i'm glad i trained hard during my june hols.. went training camp etc, then only had 1 week to study.. well.. i never regretted my choice.. even if it means failing my blocks... :)

haha.. WORLD CUP!!! haven't been watching world cup for a long time.. partly cos of comp.. well, i'm fortunate the finals are on friday, or else i wouldn't be able to watch the finals.. :) Italy-France!! i think italy will win.. and the golden ball award shld go to cannavaro.. no doubt for me over this choice.. :) gotta be fabio cannavaro!!!

Ok.. how time really flies.. it's term 3 now.. it's a term for mugging.. sian.. the comp which seemed so far back then had been completed now.. hmmm.. very soon, A levels will be over too.. i hope..

Hmm.. once again.. all the best to all the athletes in HCI.. we can win the championship this year.. and the girls team, just do your best, we will be proud of u all... haha.. and not to forget canoeing, judo and air-rifle.. may we prevail... :)
